As part of its development, the Brasserie du Château de Leignon is looking for a Master Brewer – Production & Logistics Manager, a passionate and experienced professional, to join the team and contribute to the production of characterful craft beers, brewed with high standards and authenticity in the heart of the Condroz.
Located in the exceptional setting of the Château de Leignon (Ciney), our brewery is committed to combining artisanal know-how, impeccable quality, and sustainability.
Mission
You will be responsible for the entire production process, from brewing to bottling and logistics. You will ensure the quality, consistency, and traceability of the beers produced, while maintaining cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and process optimization.
Workplace
The position is based in Leignon (Ciney). Some activities (deliveries, fairs, events, training sessions) require travel.
Main Responsibilities
Production
Carry out brewing operations according to recipes and internal procedures.
Oversee the full production process: milling, brewing, fermentation, conditioning, filling, packaging.
Maintain batch production records (recipes, brewing sheets, fermentation logs, declarations to Customs and Excise).
Plan production operations according to the schedule and commercial needs.
Quality & Hygiene
Follow a quality control plan (internal, external, and sensory analyses).
Implement a cleaning and disinfection plan compliant with AFSCA standards.
Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
R&D and Continuous Improvement
Keep the brewery’s sample library up to date.
Optimize existing recipes and contribute to the creation of new beers.
Maintenance
Organize preventive and corrective maintenance of brewing and packaging equipment.
Manage technical interventions and follow up with external suppliers.
Stock Management & Logistics
Manage stocks of raw materials, consumables, and finished products.
Organize the warm chamber and storage areas (rotation, traceability, cleanliness).
Prepare and deliver orders according to the schedule.
Brewery Life
Welcome visitors (guided tours, tastings).
Contribute to the organization and logistics of on-site events.
Represent the brewery at fairs, festivals, and external events.
Candidate Profile
Skills and Experience
Prior professional experience as a brewer.
Mastery of brewing, barrel filling, and packaging processes.
Knowledge of HACCP and AFSCA standards.
Category B driving license + forklift certification.
Laboratory, mechanical, or electrical skills are an asset.
Personal Qualities
Passion for craft beer and quality work.
